Jesus Teaching The Crowd
Philippians 4:8
Finally,brethren,whatsoever things are true,whatsoever things are honest,whatsoever things are just,whatsoever things are pure,whatsoever things are lovely,whatsoever things are of good report;if there be any virture,and if there be any praise,think of these things.
This is a topic every Christian should know about. Why is it important? I will let you know after this story;
A farmer named John Appleseed planted some apple seed on his farmland. He watered the seeds regularly,and after awhile weeded the farm. He continued this process regularly until the plant was mature and could now bear fruits. There's an important sentence I would like you to take note of in this story,'He continued this process'.
Many people nowadays don't want to go through the process of getting a thing done. They prefer taking shortcuts(examples are seen in students cheating in an exam hall, politicians rigging elections, and traders cheating in markets). They don't know that the process involved in getting a thing done is what matters, and not the result. If you use a bad process to get a result, it means you didn't do a good thing there. Use the honest,pure,and good process to achieve your result. This will show that you are being content and make you walk in God's plan.
In conclusion,
how you know you are in the process of being a true christian is when you are being content. Whatever thing are honest,whatever things are true;think of these things.
